Medical Assistant
This 900 hour program, prepares individuals to function as a medical assistant. The Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled healthcare professional who works interdependently with other healthcare professionals to provide quality healthcare to the patient. The Medical Assistant is trained to perform both administrative and clinical skills in the medical care environment. Employment opportunities exist with acute care facilities and physican offices.
Program components include academics, skills laboratory practice and clinical application. Exam dates and locations are to be announced.
Prior to class participation, individuals must a submit a program application with a $20.00 application fee, complete Work Keys testing with minimum scores in Applied Math (Level 4), Reading (Level 4) and Locating Information (Level 4). Proof of a current physical examination and dental exam, immunization record and 2-step tuberculosis skin test is required, along with results of a BCI and FBI background check. Submission of four references and an official high school or GED transcript is required.

Adult Students may be eligible for financial
aid. The Adult Education Program reserves
